se mi avete seguita anche sui social immagino saprete che la settimana scorsa ho trascorso quattro splendidi giorni nell’ affascinante Lisbona in occasione del Web Summit , l’evento imprenditoriale più importante d’ Europa: dove imprenditori, startup, investitori e innovatori di tutto il mondo hanno condiviso strategie ed esperienze di successo con una platea di ben 55000 persone.
Tra innumerevoli conferenze, meeting e feste, sono stata anche invitata all’evento per il lancio di EyeFitU, un nuovo portale di moda che apre un nuovo mondo sia ai retailers che agli utenti finali, risolvendo l’eterno problema della mancanza di uniformità delle taglie nell mondo fashion.
EyeFitU ha già collaborato con diverse case di moda di alto profilo: l’app contiene +45 negozi online e centinai di marchi come Matchesfashion, Ted Baker, Net-à-Porter & Mr.Porter, Karen Millen, Asos, Warehouse e River Island.

As some of you who have followed me on my Social Media Channels might know,last week I’ve been to the Web Summit Lisbon, Europe’s Largest Technology Event for entrepreneurs, startups, investors and innovation enthusiasts.
Between tons of conferences, meetings and parties, I’ve been invited to the launch event of EyeFitU, a new fashion portal that opens up a world of fashion for retailers and consumers alike, solving the eternal problem of the lack of uniformity of sizing in fashion.

Avete mai fatto shopping online e poi dover restituire un prodotto per aver ordinato la taglia sbagliata? A me è successo un sacco di volte…ed e’ una cosa che non mi piace affatto perche’ mi fa perdere un sacco di tempo! Grazie a questa app invece e’ possibile essere certi di trovare la taglia perfetta in pochi e semplici passi.

Have you ever shopped online and then having to return an item because you ordered the wrong size? It did happen to me many times… it’s so frustrating, but with this innovative app, you won’t experience this anymore as it is able to find your perfect size in few seconds.
Bisogna prima di tutto scaricare l’app, poi creare il proprio profilo ed infine rispondere ad alcune domande su di noi, le nostre abitudini di shopping, e il nostro corpo: potete inserire fino a 12 misure o se non avete tempo vi basterà fornire solo alcune semplici informazioni (es. sesso, altezza, peso, età) .
I nostri negozi preferiti saranno continuamente monitorati dall’app stessa, cosi’ da permetterci di creare la nostra sezione “my boutique” , contenente soltanto i marchi che vogliamo vedere e i prodotti disponibili nella nostra taglia. L’app e’ in grado di mostrare inoltre tutti trend del momento, offrendo suggerimenti sui look da creare a seconda delle nostre preferenze…fornendo quindi anche quel tocco di ispirazione che non guasta mai. Bello, no?
All you have to do is downloading the app, create your profile and answer a few questions about yourself, your shopping trends, and your body: you can either enter up to 12 accurate measurements or if you don’t have much time just provide some quick measurements (ie. gender, height, weight, age) and you’re all set!
Your favorite shops will be scanned continuously to create your perfect “my boutique” section with just the brands you want to see and the products available in your size. The app also shows the current and latest trends, offering look suggestions based on your preferences…giving you some inspiration and ideas while shopping. Awesome, uh?
In sostanza quindi, la tecnologia back-end della piattaforma EyeFitU e’ in grado di abbinare le tabelle delle taglie di ciascun brand alle misure del cliente, dando suggerimenti di taglia per le varie categorie di abiti, scarpe e accessori. Si tratta di una tecnologia unica al mondo, che combina dati statistici, taglie corporali dell’utente, preferenze, feedback e taglie degli abiti. Le combinazioni si aggiornano in maniera continuativa grazie all’algoritmo che le regola.
E ora vi starete chiedendo: e se volessi comprare qualcosa per un’amica? Beh, non ci crederete, ma EyeFitU ha pensato anche a questo. Si possono infatti creare diversi profili dal proprio account così da poter fare acquisti per amici e parenti come se lo stessumo facendo per noi !
EyeFitU’s back end technology platform matches size charts of each brand to consumers’ measurements, giving size suggestions for many different categories of garments, shoes and accessories. Its sizing engine is a world’s first and it combines statistical data, user body sizes, measures, preferences and feedback with the the sizing of the clothing. The combination of information provided by users, brands/retailers, statistical data and user feedback continuously improves the the algorithm and sizing recommendations.
And now you’re probably wondering: what if I want to buy something for a friend? Don’t worry, EyeFitU has got you covered. You can create multiple profiles in your account so that you can shop for family and friends as easily as you’d do for yourself. Christmas shopping has just gotten a whole lot easier.
