Una delle cose che adoro di piu’ di Londra, e’ il fatto che ti permette di essere sempre al passo con le ultime tendenze in molti settori: dalla moda, alla tecnologia,
dall’imprenditoria all’arte, dalla musica alla cultura.
L’ecosistema startup non mi era sconosciuto quando sono arrivata qui,anzi, e’ a Milano che e’ iniziato il mio coinvolgimento con questo mondo, per il quale nutro un
interesse sempre crescente.

from entrepreneurship to art, from music to culture and much more.
The startup ecosystem was not unknown to me when I decided to move here. I moved my first steps into this “world” when I was living in Milan and my passion and involvement with it kept growing, and I am so happy for this!
La maggior parte dei miei clienti sono startup e questo mi piace molto perche’, a differenza delle grandi corporations, in una startup e’ praticamente tutto da costruire: business plan,sito web, logo, brand identity, go-to-market strategies, operations, logistica ecc.. Si pensano, discutono e mettono in pratica diverse strategie analizzando attentamente le reazioni del potenziale mercato al quale ci si sta approcciando prendendo decisioni, molto spesso in modo velocissimo,vivendo in maniera costante quella sensazione a meta’ tra adrenalina pura e gestione emotiva del “fattore rischio” .
Most of my clients are startups and I do like it as, as opposite as what happens in large corporations, in a startup everything needs to be built: the business plan, the website, the brand identity, the logo, the go-to-market strategy, the operations,the logistics and much more .. you dream, create, think, develop, discuss and execute different strategies whilst carefully analysing the potential impacts on the market you are approaching. In most of the cases the decision making process has to be very quick, experiencing that exciting feeling of pure adrenaline and the emotional roller coaster caused by the the “risk factors”.
Uno dei progetti al quale sto lavorando da qualche mese, e che reputo uno tra i piu’ stimolanti ed innovativi di sempre, e’ Startuphome: il co-living londinese per startups, entrepreneurs e freelancers.
Partiamo pero’ dalle basi..
Cos’e’ un co-living?
Il trend del co-living è iniziato in America nel 2015, e ha come scopo quello di creare uno spazio comune che permetta a giovani professionisti di vivere in una community con altri creativi e innovatori. Uno spazio dove si possa non solo lavorare, ma anche condividere esperienze di vita stimolanti ed ispirazionali.
Decidere di mettersi in proprio e’ tutt’ altro che semplice, specialmente se si decide di farlo in un paese diverso da quello di origine, e il vantaggio di poter vivere questo percorso insieme a chi ha fatto la stessa scelta di vita, specialmente dal punto di vista psicologico e’ evidente.
Sicuramente a molti di voi e’ gia’ familiare il concetto, relativamente piu’ “vecchio” di co-working.
Negli ultimi anni gli spazi di Co-Working presenti nelle piu’ grandi citta’ d’Europa e non solo, si sono moltiplicati e non si tratta soltanto di condividere le spese di affitto a costi molto piu’ bassi di quelli di un “normale” ufficio. Si tratta di piu’che altro di vivere una quotidianita’ lontana dalla solitudine della propria stanza, cosa che caratterizza la maggior parte dei freelancers.
Il co-living, tuttavia, offre qualcosa di piu’: l’essere immersi a 360 gradi in un ambiente che facilita le connessioni e lo scambio di consigli, skills ed esperienze anche al di fuori del canonico orario “9 to 5”.
One of the projects I’ve been working on since the past three months, and I which I found one of the most exciting and innovative ever,is Startuphome: the London co-living space for startups, entrepreneurs and freelancers.
Let’s start from the basics though.
What is a co-living space?
The co-living trend started in the US back in 2015, and aims to create a common space that allows young professionals to fully experience a community with other founders and innovators from all over the world. A space where you can not only work, but also share life experiences with like minded and inspirational individuals.
Starting your own business is not a simple task as it could seem to be, especially if you decide to run it in a different country from yours and in a competitive scene like the London one; hence, the positive impact of living this path alongside those who have made the same choice, especially from a psychological point of view, is enormous.
Certainly many of you are already familiar with the relatively “old” concept of Co-Working space.
In the past few years the number of Co-Working Spaces in the largest european cities has dramatically increased and this was not only related to the need of sharing rental costs which are obviously much lower than the standard office ones . It was more for the idea of working in a more pleasant and mentally stimulating environment, away from the loneliness of your own place, which is part of the downside to be a freelancer or a young entrepreneur.
The co-living space offers is giving something even more valuable : stronger relationships withing peers as built outside the usual 9 to 5 working hours , an environment which fully facilitates the connections and the exchange of advice, skills and experience whilst boosting your investors and potential partners network (which is crucial for any successful entrepreneur).
In particolare, Startuphome e’ una startup che fornisce spazio di co-living, co-working e accelerazione con formula “all in one”, nata da un’idea di Stefano Tresca e Nicolas Steiner,entrambi gia’ imprenditori e consulenti di successo), con lo scopo di facilitare fondatori di startup, freelancers e partecipanti a programmi di accelerazione nel muovere i primi passi all’ interno dell’ ecosistema imprenditoriale londinese, senza trascurare tutti i comfort che non possono mancare in una vera “smart home”.
Il progetto e’ ambizioso e punta as espandersi in molte altre citta’ europee quali: Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Manchester, Toronto e Berlino.
Particularly Startuphome ‘s vision is to provide a co-living , co-working and community in”all in one” formula, born from an idea of Stefano Tresca and Nicolas Steiner (both successful serial entrepreneurs and consultants) , with the aim of facilitating connections and positive influence between startup founders, freelancers and those who are participating in acceleration programs when moving their first steps within the London entrepreneurial ecosystem, whilst also enjoying all the comforts of living in a truly “smart home.”
The project is ambitious with a well established growth plan into many other European cities such as Brussels, Amsterdam, Manchester, Toronto and Berlin.
Il business e’ importante, ma le relazioni interpersonali lo sono ancordi piu: questa e’ la forza di Startuphome. Qui ci si diverte, si organizzano eventi, si conoscono investitori,mentors e persone brillanti con cui sviluppare progetti. Si crea costantemente, anche davanti ad una pizza.
Business is important, but personal relationships between like minded founders can be even more valuable: this is the strength of Startuphome in my opinion. Here we have fun, organise events, getting to know investors, mentors and brigh people with whom developing our projects or shaping our ideas. We constantly create, even in front of a good pizza!
